After practicing as a Chartered Accountant for 17 years John founded Goodman private wealth advisers in 1987.
The firm specialises in private wealth management providing highly personalised services aligned with the specific needs of successful individuals and families.
Drawing on his experience in advising families in wealth management, John now helps affluent families manage their giving programs.
John has served on the boards of a number of non-profit organisations and has been actively involved in a number of fund raising campaigns.
John is a regular speaker on giving from the point of view of the donor. He gives examples of practical steps families can take to organise their giving so that it involves all of the family and become a vehicle for carrying forward family culture and values.

Brad Church

Ranked in the top 50 financial planners Australia-wide in 2002, 2003 and 2004 (Personal Investor Magazine Masterclass), Brad Church is one of a very select group to be awarded this industry honour over three consecutive years.
Brad has a passionate interest in personal finance and his expertise in advising high net worth families in effective wealth building and wealth preservation strategies makes him an invaluable resource.
In May 2004 Brad was appointed to the role of Chief Executive of Goodman private wealth advisers with the objective of ensuring clients continue to enjoy the level of service and success which the firm had delivered over the preceding 17 years.
Brad joined Goodman private wealth advisers in 1998 and has been instrumental in developing and implementing the firm's ongoing quality improvement program. The firm has since been recognised for its quality and innovation in the 2005 and 2007 Asset Innovation Awards as well as receiving the honour of Second Generation Family Business of the Year Queensland in 2006.
Brad became a Principal of the firm in July 2004.

James Goodman

James uses his strong personal relationships with clients to assist in defining those things that are important to them.
Over more that 15 years as a professional adviser, James has gained an understanding of the needs of successful families. This comes hand in hand with the experience and skill of knowing which strategies are most likely to help these families achieve their financial goals.
James also draws on his background in economics to play an important role in selecting investments for the company's clients.
Prior to joining the company, James worked in Brisbane with a big 4 accounting firm, and in the UK as a management accountant.
James became a principal of the firm in 2004. His qualifications and designations include:-
- Bachelor of Economics - University of Queensland;
- Master of Professional Accounting - University of Queensland;
- CA (Financial Planning Specialist) - Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia; and
- Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning - Financial Services Institute of Australasia.
James is married to Sarah and they have three young children. He is a member of Rotary, and a keen swimmer.
