James understands the needs of successful individuals and families, having worked as a professional adviser for almost 25 years. This understanding goes hand-in-hand with his skills and experience so that he can help his clients define the things that are important to them and guide them toward achieving their financial goals. James draws on his background in economics which plays an important role in selecting investments for clients.
James has a first-hand appreciation of philanthropy, through his leadership of the Goodman Foundation, and implements best practice when helping clients determine their philanthropic goals.
Prior to joining the firm, James worked in Brisbane with a big four accounting firm and in the UK as a management accountant.
James has been with Goodmans for more than 20 years, and became a principal of the firm in 2004. His qualifications and designations include:
